Brooklyn(2015) is fantastic. Its hands down my favorite. Its one of those movies people don't talk much. But i think its very beautiful.
Girls Trip(2017) was hilarious. It would slide into the second spot easily.

(btw, what would be the difference between a "rom-com" and a "chick flick?" ... are all rom-coms chick flicks? But not all chick-flicks are rom-coms.... Thinking out loud, I would guess films that are dramatic and centered on women (or a woman) and don't center on a romance might also be a "chick flick" but not a rom-com. (like "Little Women" or "Mermaids")

It's based on a Broadway musical - I was always under the impression that traditionally it didn't get more chick flicky than that. It may be different now with everyone rapping Hamilton, but it didn't seem that way back in the 90s around here. Originally Posted by 80sbaby
