There seem to be an awful lot of panels in the same scene. That's one wordy conversation...
"We're the same thing, you and I. We're both lies that eventually became the truth." Lara Notsil, Star Wars: X-Wing: Solo Command, Aaron Allston
"All that is not eternal is eternally out of date." C. S. Lewis, The Four Loves
"There's room in our line of work for hope, too." Stephanie Brown

"Spiritual Pulp predecessor".
Yeah yeah.
The first issue was cool. I like how he had the Batcomputer helping with forensics!
Batman/Shadow #1 has just arrived in The Grim North, now I'm really looking forward to ish #2. This is a much more promising update than Shadow Now from Dynamite a couple of years ago, and if it is anywhere near as good as Dynamite's Death Of Margo Lane - which was superb then this will be really good.
Good to see Bats doing something different rather than a) just battling a bunch of loonies b) battling a monster villain who has either broken out of or ends up in Arkham. Yes its wordy but that makes a nice change too, not panel after panel of filler art.
I see that there's an advert for a relaunch of a monthly 'Shadow' from Dynamite in the mag so they obviously think there's life in the old property - phew!
All in all GOOD.
