My problem with the way how Percy is handling things about their relationship in Green Arrow is how idealized their dynamic is being portrayed. He's trying to sell the idea that they're meant to be together so hard that is just unrealistic, especially considering how in the past their romance was much more complicated than that and the problematic nature of how Ollie constantly cheated on Dinah and how she simply accepted it gave much more layers to their characters, they're simply not meant for one another, that's how their history works (The fact that Percy reintroduced it in such a fast and rushed way made things even worse).

I believe that both Ollie and Dinah do care for each other but they simply don't work well at all as a couple, actually Ollie doesn't work well in any serious relationship.

Man that fight seemed like it was all over the place and happening really fast. That said I enjoyed the banter. Good to see Tiger and Helena on good terms.

Interesting. I just read the Green Arrow Annual by Denny O'Neil (part of a trilogy of Annuals including Batman and The Question, featuring Shiva and a mysterious sensei from China/Japan who is 150 years old), which heavily featured Ollie and Dinah in a pretty happy time of their relationship.

Part of me is okay with the way that Percy and the Bensons are doing Ollie and Dinah, because I hate cheaters, and want Dinah to be happy. But I can understand liking something more difficult and challenging and perhaps ultimately more satisfying.

This was pretty fun, though I'm not gonna even really try to match up the canon/timeline/placement aspects of it. But I liked Blackbird as a villain, liked the team dynamic resolution, like that we all dislike the new Oracle and the writers probably knew we would so he was set up to fail from the get-go. Liked seeing Grayson and Ollie team up, a lot, actually. The Bat-Gang and Arrow-Gang dynamic is a really interesting one that I'd like to see mix-and-matched a bit more.

The obvious one is Damian and Emiko, right?
But then, Batman hanging out with Roy Harper, who is Dick's ally but is Jason's best friend.
Ollie hanging out with Jason, or with Dick.
Getting Tim and Mia-Thea to hang out at some point. Or Cissie. Or Artemis. All of them.
Black Canary and Bronze Tiger should hang. They both have neat relationships with Vixen, but also are both cage fighting bad-ass martial artists, so that.
    Alfred and Henry.

I want Dinah and Steph to hang out again. We already know that Steph loves her band!

Awww, Tiger got no panel time. That was hugely disappointing. Also "Hypnos Bitch" I miss the cool, collected woman from Grayson. The 3 main characters in this book are very similar in personality now. It's a bit dull.

Still there was a lot to enjoy here too. Some nice fight scenes, teamwork and the Oracle angle is interesting.

I swear the Benson's have some weird compulsion to make a star wars joke every issue.

Dunno about weird, but they're doing it very consciously.
