Yeah, you don't need to read JL if you're into GLs. Still it's funny the The Jessica/Barry budding romance isn't even mentioned in Flash at all. Feels more lazy than even the Kyle/Carol idiocy. They claimed that Carol wasn't meant to be be defined by her relationship with Hal just to go ahead and pair her with another Lantern. Here, since Flash is traditionally buddy buddy with GL, now there's a female Green Lantern and he just has to be attracted to her. Lazy af.

There was a nod to it in one issue when Iris was musing over all of Barry's other love interests.

I have had a chance to take a look at some of the Jessica Cruz backstory issues (Injustice League and first half of Darkseid War). They did seem to work a lot together in the former (I think Flash may have been the only one in Injustice... who interacted with her on a personal level after bringing her into the fold). In the latter, when going off with Batman to solve part of the problem, Hal Jordan (who'd kind of taken over showing Cruz the superhero ropes), specifically told her to stay with Flash.

I'd want to take a look at the Rebirth JL issues before rendering final judgement (have to check the library sometime), but I guess it seems like there was something of a starting point if a writer wanted to make them an item.
