Hoping they de-emphasize/eliminate the Nazi ties though. Would prefer they portray them more ambiguously as like, possible fighters for mutant emancipation and misunderstood or demonized by an angry/fearful human public. But they might just go the simple route and make them just seem absolutely terrible

The newspapers in Season 1, written in Google Translate Polish, listed crimes against humanity as part of their laundry list of crimes, so they're Nazis or equally bad terrorists.

Yeah they'll have aged-up versions of the Fenris twins for flashbacks presumably during Lauren's dreams (or Andy's as well).

To be fair, Fenris are nazis and are terrible, so no great need to soft sell them..

Yeah in the comics they are. But this show has also changed Hellfire Club to be way more gray to the point of pretty much heroic.

And if Andy and Lauren were to become a new incarnation of them I don't think we can have them be insanely awful like in the comics

There was Andy's comment about "that's the human version of events" or whatever concerning what was written about them.

Just because it's listed somewhere doesn't necessarily make it 100% true. The USA government consider the Mutant Underground "terrorists". Do we in the audience...?

Considering how cartoonishly evil the government is in The Gifted, the HFC looks a lot better by comparison. They're the best of a bunch of bad options.

Yeah some say that foreshadows either Andy or Lauren dying and then the other one "carries on the von Strucker legacy" but alone

I guess if that happens I would rather it be Lauren who lives but my real preference is them as a duo and just re-interpreted in a more nuanced way ethically but still considered "unacceptable" by the boring dopes, I mean Heroes, of the Underground
