X-Men "Gifted" TV show discussion and speculation

You're right, but Hollywood is political and it's a business. There's stuff that goes on behind the scenes that impacts the "creative" process.

He was the only "celebrity" cast for the show...maybe it's part of his contract? Amy is more known for Angel, but True Blood was a big show in the US.

I understand sometimes these things are out of writers, and showrunners, hands. However, he would've just been better to say it's not on the cards this season. Moyer is probably the most well known of the cast, granted, since True Blood did well in the United Kingdom as well. However, amongst the younger generation in the UK (the E4 generation), Sean Teale is equally well known because he was in Skins and it was a huge success here. Amy Acker has a following because of her genre-roles. Jamie Chung is also relatively well known since she was on Once Upon A Time which did well here and in the United States (although, she was just recurring). Still, even in interviews with the cast, Moyer seems to jump in to talk about Reed when he really is one of the weakest links on the show. That said, Nix's answer was about Reed when that wasn't the question. It feels like they push the character a lot.

On the same note, I'm not sure the majority of the cast interviews well. They always strike me as a little "off".

Combined with last week's very brief preview teaser for it, this sounds like it could easily be S2's best ep yet. Eclipse's backstory being touched upon & what looked like his fisticuffs with the Frost Sisters, as well as his determination to see Polaris & baby Dawn, are the kind of plot beats I can get more engrossed in.

I viewed it more like Reeva was trying to toughen that boy up, get him prepared for the reality that he's going to perhaps inevitably have to do battle against those folks at some point whether he wants it or not

Reeva can and did take care of herself against puny Marcos

Marcos and Thunderbird were the villains of this episode for me. Way more so than even Jace Turner.
