First confirmed X-character and it's one I really like! I wonder if this Blink is one of the children aka main cast. She's described as 'a sarcastic and lively tomboy. Clarice’s naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. As she adjusts to the new people and places that are suddenly ‘home,’ Clarice is slowly becoming herself again'. Also... That sounds a lot like Jubilee.

I've got more interest in this than in Legion, tbh. I can respect a good reimagining, but I'm more likely to give my time to projects that have more connection to characters I'm familiar with.

had no idea. Actually I looked the tv board earlier today and didnt see anything at first sight.

About this topic.. well... I guess a mod would have to delete it, or just merge boths and have it on here, since this is the Mutant board for all things X-Men, so its more confortable to have the movies and x-men tv shows on the same board

With the announcement of Blink being one of the leads, they might as well just make this an Exiles show. I know it would be hard to do that on a TV budget but it would be such a great idea and premise for a television show. Not to mention with Marvel having rights to the X-Men television rights, we can also see alternate versions of other various Marvel characters outside of the X-Men universe like the original Exiles comic run did.

It is kind of curious that one of the other rumored castings is for a "Native American mutant". And Exiles did have one among them: Thunderbird! Maybe they are using some Exiles influences for the characters on this show? If I recall Singer did talk about doing something with Exiles or maybe Alpha Flight so they clearly have played with the idea.

But I don't really see the possibility that we'll see a full on Exiles tv show any time soon. Especially one with MU characters whose rights are with Marvel TV. Marvel TV might be collaborating with Fox on FoX-Men TV shows and helping them produce them but that's still a long way from them sharing the rights to use each others' characters in their respective universes (even if both studios wanted to it might be too much of a legal nightmare to go through with such ideas). I think that despite their collaboration on these TV projects both companies are still happy to keep x-characters in their own tv and movie universes that are separate from MCU where all of Marvel's own movies and tv shows take place in.

And even if it was a possibility that Fox/Marvel would use characters Marvel TV holds rights to in a FoX-Men show they sure as hell aren't going to do that with this one since this show apparently takes place in the same universe as FoX-Men films (though I have no idea whether that means the universe of X1-X3, universe of X:FC-X:A OR whatever universe(s) Deadpool, Logan, Gambit & New Mutants are supposed to take place in.) Man, Fox's continuity is all over the place... Giving me a headache just thinking about any of their movies together...

I could actually see her doing this. Paquin is primarily a TV actress these days, and AFAIK she's still interested in playing Rogue. Plus a series would offer her more opportunities for developing the character that the film didn't have.
