I can't see Anna Paquin being in this because that would tie it right in to the movie universe (if she was cast as Rogue, of course), which Fox currently seem reluctant to do...

producers and showrunner have already confirmed this is is set on the movie universe

New X-Men Series Casts Incorporated Star In Lead Role

After the news of Stephen Moyer joining the Untitled X-Men show from Fox broke last night, it was only a matter of time before another casting decision was announced.

Stephen Teale, star of the recently-cancelled Incorporated, was just revealed to be the other lead in the series.

Deadline broke the news with the following character bio:

"Teale will play Marcos Diaz/Eclipse. A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe. Teale also joins previously cast Blair Redford and Jamie Chung."

Thanks for posting. So he's Cloak or Obsidian? He makes things darker/manipulates darkness? Sounds cheap enough to make work on a TV budget.

...and the actor's name is Sean Teale.

With legion now, plus news about this show, and several x-films upcoming and the new optimistic x-books, it's a bright time to be an x-fan. It was so differnt just a year or so ago.

Hopefully everything delivers.
