favorite batman books and why

Thank you Mace. It really bugged me not knowing. Now I remember it but its not my favourite piece of writing from Barr (that would be his regular run). Your answer is awesome, though

Batman: Second Chances is a tpb and has some really good stuff in it. Sure, everyone knows the Post-Crisis origin of Jason Todd, but do you know about the guy who went nuts and really thought he was Batman? Even going so far as to have a costume of his own (not to mention stumbling across the cave!), and it's a Bat vs Bat showdown. Later, you meet The Dumpster Killer, a story that shakes the man beneath the Bat.

Good 80's fun without the doom and gloom of Batjerk or Batgod (although, I love me some Batjerk too!).

Sure, there was actually a follow up sequel some 24 years later in the Batman Confidential title in which as it turns out another person who was mentored by the Wrath is now doing his old work.
