Thank goodness for Robot chicken they have at least made them both tolerable.

Hail Hydra!
At least the Ewoks were useful! Even if it wasn't the most believable fight.
Assassinate Putin!
To be fair to Jar Jar he did have a higher body count just from one accident than all the Stormtroopers in the original trilogy combined. Although the way they were depicted you wouldn't believe they could hit a target if the blaster muzzle was actually touching the bullseye.
Jar Jar.
The Ewoks never really annoyed me. I guess it bothered me that they were able to fight the stormtroopers and stuff, that was pretty lame. But their existence doesn't bother me.
Jar Jar Binks. Why is that character even in the movie? I did not find anything funny. But was annoyed when he was on screen. Then again i did not watch it when i was a kid. Ewoks are not annoying at least not to me.
Well, Ewoks have at least the decency to not talk very much.
Jar-Jar sadly talks. A lot.
And honestly i just can't stand that kind of character who can't make a single step without falling or doing something stupid.
Ewoks are naive primitives talked into dying for a conflict they didn't even know about by clever Rebels and their golden god. I find that more interesting than a clumsy idiot who basically ends up as Palpatine's ugly little tool.
Well, several story designers and Mark himself have said they pushed a more feral version of the Ewoks with red eyes, sharp claws and teeth, and that you didn't know if you could trust them or not. But the Teddy Bear version is what George wanted.

Jar Jar wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the outdated slapstick comedy. As for the Ewoks, I've always like them but I was also only 3 when RotJ came out so they were the exact type of thing that would have stuck with me.

Jar Jar. Every Gungan. The entire bumbling, goggle eyed race.
Wipe them out.
All of them.
If ten years of recording The Young and the Restless for my mother have taught me anything, it's that characters in serial dramas are always happily in love...until they're not
