    Any ideas about Snoke" lightsaber!

I'm guess he don't have one because he out grown it, and wants Ankain's so bad.

The Last Jedi is referring to Snoke. He is the lasting living Jedi from the Jedi Order. Luke isn't from the Jedi Order.
    Hmmmm, that's an interesting theory.

    It really not a theory.

    Luke was training new Jedi.
He took Ben Solo as his Apprentice.
Snoke seduced Ben Solo to the Dark Side.
    Ben Solo become Klyo Ren.
Some of Luke's Jedi join Klyo Ren and become the Knights of Ren.
Klyo Ren and the Knights of Ren killed off the remaining of Luke's Jedi
    Luke felt responsible and left.

If the Jedi are the heroes why do they run away and hide?

I'm not going to deny Snoke getting in the way of Ben becoming a Jedi since we know it happened during that period, however we have nothing to indicate Snoke is a Jedi let alone Force sensitive. We simply have no proof of his strength in the Force, and Kylo Ren may be subservient to him for other reasons besides power. Nothing indicates Snokes own power besides ranking within the First Order, and in Kylo Ren's case the knowledge of the Dark side and the prior regime (given Snoke's own knowledge of Vader it's possible he is invaluable to Kylo Ren in understanding his role model). Not to mention that it's not Snoke who wants Anakin's lightsaber, it's Kylo Ren since his whole deal is to emulate Darth Vader and wants his lightsaber, (ignoring Anakin's first which was destroyed, and the presumed destroyed models used used during the original trilogy as each movie possessed a slightly different hilt).

While Luke was never inducted into the Old Republic version of the order he was deemed a Jedi by Master Yoda before he died. Not to mention that Luke is so far the only one living to pass on the old Jedi ways, and was granted the title of Jedi. He is as much Jedi as any of the old guard.

We don't know where the rest of the Knights of Ren came from and there's no evidence that they were Kylo's fellow students. (There's nothing to disprove it either, that doesn't seem to be the rouge they're going.)

Everything else has been confirmed for sure, though.

The rest of the Knights of Ren?

    kor.jpg

    How many Knights of Ren?

"Even you, master of the Knights of Ren, have never faced such a test."
―Supreme Leader Snoke, to Kylo Ren

Snoke isn't the master of the Knights of Ren. Klyo Ren is.

Why use Stormtroopers when you got the Knights of Ren?
Snoke wasn't for the Knights, because they were Jedi.

It's also possible that the knights aren't used more often because it's far more effective to deploy a battalion of troops than 6 guys to subjugate a planet.

We don't know what their backstories are yet. (And notice how none of them have been shown using lightsabers?).

True, but the Knights answer to Snoke.

All militaries use different kinds of soldiers. Also, who's to say that there are enough Knights to use them as the main fighting force. After all, their master isn't fully trained yet

If they were once Jedi, that probably wouldn't be the case, per the movie's novelization.

The Jedi weapon is the Force.
The lightsaber is just a tool.

So, the Knights of Ren can be Jedi.
They don't need to have lightsaber to be Jedi.
They are trainee, so they know how to use the Force.

Also, not all the Starwars books are accurate.

I suppose they could also be the Dark side equavilent of Rogue One's Guardians of The Whills as well; not really Jedi or Sith, but perhaps affiliated with them in some fashion (Similar to the Nightbrothers/nightsisters in "Clone Wars" as well).

Snoke could technically still be a Sith Lord of some kind, although he's referred to as "Supreme Leader", remember Emperor Palpatine's Sith name/lordship wasn't really revealed until TPM (Or that "Darth" was a common title).

Nobody in the new trilogy is a Sith anything, not Snoke, not Kylo, not the knights.

I think Snoke is this new character named Snoke. Also think he'll be pretty short.

Maybe, although the inner workings of the Knights have yet to be confirmed.

True, however, the book you cited has been confirmed to be non-canon. The TFA novelization is canonical.
