Tom Hardy is Venom in new Sony Venom movie...

Seems like the kind of movie I would watch. A sort of super-hero/horror blend. I'm down.

But the fact there seem to have no connection to Spider-Man and the Eddie Brock from the comics is disappointing.

I think since it comes out in October and Infinity Wars comes out in May, they could have shot additional materials for IW where some black alien glue engulfes Spidey in IW and that's how he is taken out of the game in the movie. He crash-lands on Earth with a ship, manages to get rid of it. Then you have your Venom movie next.

That would be awesome and yes, they should have done that.

I think they left his chest out of frame on purpose. Hope there a spider emblem but iono how that would make even a little sense given the circumstances.

As a whole I'm not excited, not really but I do like the faithfulness of VENOMs look. I was afraid we were gonna get anorexic Venom again. This one's got some Heft and they are doing a decent job showing the internal struggle with the Symbiote. Love the symbiote voice too

Oddly enough, I think I preferred the trailer that didn't have Venom in it. Yeah he looked good, but the film itself seems uninspired. It's like the more you look at it, the less there is to see.

Not really. Venom has existed as an anti hero independent of Spidey and has done his own thing. Reverse Flash never has.

The Symbiote's voice is so on-point that it almost makes up for Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock voice .
