Magneto and Mystique in X-men Drak Phoenix movie! Thoughts?

Michael Fassbender hinted that it is "likely" he will will be back as Magneto, which suggests a return of Jennifer Lawrence as well.
I don't mind the return of Moira or Beast (an original member of the x-men).

But Lawrence!!!??? NOOOOOOOOOO! WHY ?? GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS!
WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO DESEREVE THAT???

I am genuinely sad TBH.

consequences:
1- J law and co will dominate the movie
2- Jean grey, cyclops, storm, nightcrawler etc are going to be the supporting characters...
3- Remember that dark phoenix is already a huge saga? it's going to be reduced to a 2h 30 movie? now it's going to be a J law show again...

==> I want an X-men movie about the actual X-men... And this is not it.

Errr, Magneto being on it doesn't really means Mystique is too. I don't think JLaw wants to do it anyway.

I think Magneto on it is unecessary. We didn't even got to see Jean with her Phoenix powers in more than one scene or really get attached to her and Scott and she's already going Dark Phoenix, which is an unfixable mistake already, the movie would have to be kinda rushed to really work like I wish it did, so knowing we'll have to deal with Magneto's subplots just makes me less hopeful about the whole thing.

I'll talk about Mystique's return when it itself is hinted at. Bringing Magneto into the Phoenix Saga efinitely a solid step in the wrong direction though.

That's according to recent comments from producer Hutch Parker, who, after recently being asked by CinemaBlend whether the two actors would feature in Dark Phoenix, teased:

I'd rather not confirm any of those officially, but yes, the current story that we're working on has that group involved as well as some of the younger characters that we introduced last time.

mystique is horrible. lawrence is horrible. this is horrible. this is amovie that needs to focus on jean and scott. you need to sell their relationship. Apocalypse didn't give us enough to feel like they have any chemistry or are a cute couple. Barring anything other than a cameo from magneto or mystique, it's terrible

Phoenix saga is a HUUUUUUUUGE STORY! They are making one film about it! One only! And it features the old cast (mystique & co) with "some of the younger characters".

They didn't exactly had to do more than one movie about Phoenix. Just another X-Men movie with Jean and Scott on it that has her using her Phoenix powers sometimes.
