I had one story in mind when I read this thread title:

    Kingdom Come

My God that is an extremely powerful story on so many levels. One of my favorite stories of all time across all mediums. It's along with LotR to me, within its own respects.

So, "graphic novels" and "trade paperbacks" are the same now?

In case it's not, I'm going to go with "Green Lantern: Willworld" or "Green Lantern Legacy: The Last Will & Testament of Hal Jordan"

Honestly, I think Marvel did a much better job with "original graphic novels" back when they meant something.

I have a number of paperbacks I could name, but actually trying to stick to strict "One book. One "issue". One story", I'm gonna go with one of my all time favorite Justice League stories. "JLA: Superpower".

Glancing over my bookshelf and considering only truly self-contained books, I'm torn between All-Star Superman, Flex Mentallo and Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil
"You know the deal, Metropolis. Treat people right or expect a visit from me."

"JLA/JSA: Virtue and Vice" was pretty good.

I feel like the header is a bit vague. Shouldn't it be OGN?

    JLA: Earth 2
    JLA: Heaven's Ladder
    Killing Joke
    Joker
    Arkham Asylum
    Arkham Asylum: Madness
    Black Canary/Zatanna

If graphic novels are in paperback then they are trade paperbacks.

If a trade paperback holds one story than it is a graphic novel.

A trade paperback collection containing multiple comics is not an Original Graphic Novel though - and a hardback book is never a trade paperback.
