So on top of the base four, we’re going to have other characters coming in and out: Old Man Logan, Miles Morales, Eva Bell, Elektra and Punisher. We’ll have other characters making cameos for now who may be having bigger stuff: Blade, Paladin and Night Nurse. These are characters that I truly adore and can’t wait to drop in anywhere I can.

Eva was pretty cool, but he turn d her into a massive hypocrite/bitch to make Cyclops look bad in original sin, so I'm not sure how she'll be in this. And wasn't part of the point of killing off Logan was because he was every-fucking-where?

Almost as bad is the fact that Eva is now MASSIVELY overpowered. She's a complete gamebreaker now.

That's not too surprising. Bendis loves using characters he creates or works with. That's how Kitty Pryde ended up in Guardians of the Galaxy. He created Eva Bell and he generally did a good job with her. I'm all for bringing her into the Defenders. I'd rather see her in a series like Gen X, but I think she can work just as well in this. Besides, it couldn't hurt to have some mutant presence in a book like Defenders.

At the end of the day, Bendis will always have his toys. Marvel sure does enjoy making their comic book characters resemble their movie/TV counterparts.
