I dig this song, but looking back, it almost sounds like a Ride The Lightning outtake...

The title of this song was taken from a line in the Sid and Nancy movie. A character based on Sex Pistol's drummer Paul Cook complains that Sid can't actually play his instrument and the Malcom Mc Maclaren character says, "He's more than just a bass layer, he's a FABLOUS DISASTER!"

The lyrics to this song seem to be about WW3 or something.

This was a hit on hard rock radio ( moderate hit on MTV) back in the day. Who knew that Aldo would go on to produce and write songs for Celine Dion years later?

This more straight thrash before the progressive elements they'd later add.

I remember Loudness from Japan getting decent write ups back in the day, but for some reason they never broke big in America. It's a little surprising cuz I think anyone who's a fan of 80's Scorpions, Krokus, Accept, etc style metal could enjoy them.

Cannot believe this thread is still going. I wish they hadn't purged the boards in 2014 (or whenever it was), because there was so much good conversation in those old boards, but it's good to see heavy metal is alive and well in 2019.

For me? It's all about Mastodon these days. "Emperor of Sand" plays on a constant loop in my car.

Oh, and "Prequelle" was brilliant too. Fav track? Probably "Faith". It has a vibe you can't ignore if you like heavy metal.
