In the first verse you can hear Dee's Alice Cooper influences. About half way through though, the song becomes Judas Priest's lost New Jersey cousins

I'll admit I haven't kept up with Lita Ford. I know she still performs live and releases records whenever. She had a very bitter divorce which resulted in her being estranged from her kids. But for a short period of time she was the queen of MTV metal. This song is from right before then. I never liked those cheesy keyboards on "Kiss Me Deadly".

Who do y’all consider to be the second big 4?
For me it’s Suicidal Tendencies, Exodus, Testament, Flotsam & Jetsam

I'd be okay with Testament but I don't know that I would think of the other three bands for this category. I'd add Overkill for sure. I'd have to think about the other two I'd want to include.

That's all gonna depend on how you wanna do the math.

Speak English Or Die is pretty evergreen as a band that is "On". That said, there's a lot of listening to that album as an older guy, and just shaking my head.

Past that, let's take Voivod. Do I get to count them as a "Thrash" band?

While it's not really "Thrash", some of that late eighties' King Diamond run was some of the best "Slow" thrash ever.

That's a pretty good question. Out of the four bands that you listed though I'd only nominate Testament. Testament are my second favourite Thrash Metal band ever behind Slayer.

Beyond that I'd probably say Sepultura (their 'Arise' album had sold over a million copies by the mid 1990's, a feat that no other band outside the Big 4 can lay claim to) and Kreator (another favourite of mine and rightly regarded as one of the Big 4 of Teutonic Thrash Metal). After that you could nominate a few bands for that final slot. Overkill? Exodus? Nuclear Assault? They all had good periods of creativity and are worth a shout.

Gotta say that I don't really think of Suicidal Tendencies as a Thrash band either. They were more punk leaning for me. Are they still going?

I personally found making the jump from Thrash Metal to Death Metal pretty seamless. It's not a style of music that defines me but was a great form of escapism for me for a couple of years at least. This was my first Death Metal album and is still considered a classic of the genre. I loved the versatility on offer here. Death Metal with a touch of the Pied Piper towards the end:

My list would be similar...Testament, Exodus, Scared Reich, and fourth I'll go with Suicidal.
