It's fun to connect the dots cuz it's Motorhead covering the Pistols, and Steve Jones was trying to be Johnny Thunders, who was trying to be a trashier Keith Richards who was heavily influenced by Chuck Berry.

About a week ago, the subject of alternative rock bands "going metal" came up n the other thread and The Cult were mentioned. They were actually pretty successful after their stylistic change. This song I've liked, but reminds me of that era when a lot of hard rock bands would have their quasi- "Kashmir" song.

This song was from "Song From The Elder" which was a concept album by Kiss from the early 80's that under performed. Fun Fact: Lou Reed contributed to some of the songwriting.
