Default Why did George Perez give characters bad perms?

Jericho, Vanessa Kapatelis, and even Beast Boy sometimes fell victim to this follicle folly! Mr. Wilson especially looked like Tommy Gunn from Rocky V.

    LOL!

Also, the cover boxes, especially the Avengers, had most, if not all, of the female characters with long hair having the same cut with chopped ends. Wanda usually escaped, as well as Thor. Wasp's hair was too short to fall victim, lol!

Many people actually looked like that in the 1980s. If you weren't born yet at the time or were too young to remember, check out movies, TV shows, and photos of people from that era.

I always thought it was funnier that Donna's bearded husband supposedly looked suspiciously like George or so I was told. Now that's some next level wish fulfillment if true. Not sure where you'd find a younger bearded George Perez photo though.

Could not find any photos of young George Perez, but Terry Long (Donna Troy's husband) bore some resemblance to the PBS painter Bob Ross.

I feel like that whole plotline dragged down her character

Yeah I never liked it, the husband.

I looked around a little on Bing Images and couldn't find that young bearded George photo. That fro on Bob looks too big for my memory.

Photos from comic interviews must exist. The comic shop crew were pretty solid in there belief in the resemblance. I'll look around some more later, was hoping someone had found one.
