They already are added into Contest of Champions and Puzzle Quest and they're hinted at a future event in Avengers Academy. So Yeah...it seems that the X-men are making a video game comeback.

those 2 games were done before the ban, like Marvel Heroes, it was only the newer games that weren't allowed to use the mutants.

Hence why this is big news since this is one of the most popular Marvel games for mobile and they had said in the past they didn't have the rights for mutants. Aka this is incredible news to any xmen fan

My exact reaction - this is great news, clearly someone/something has made Marvel see sense in the world.
I’ve just published my very first work on ‘Archive of Our Own’, under the same name as here. It is the first chapter of ‘I Am My Own Best Friend ~ An Emma Frost Road Trip’, which focuses on Emma between the events of IvX and Secret Empire, including the White Queen going on a road trip, to try and have fun!

You can read the story here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/15795663

I hope you enjoy it as much I did writing it!

It was the New Avengers. Songbird, Wiccan, and Hulkling were among them.

Both Cyclops and Storm being announced at the same time?

Damn, clearly Marvel is intent on denying us a definitive answer as to which is the more popular

Yup this is what I'm waiting on too. They have said the x-men are dlc so they won't be apart of the story mode. They will be added later.

Marvel Lego Super Heroes 2 have no x-men appearance yet either. Right now it's all about who's in the marvel movies.

This is promising. I hope other games follow suit. Games take a long time to develop though. So it's not surprising that the X-men weren't in them until now. When these games first launched, with the exception of Marvel Heroes, the unspoken ban was still in place. As anyone who played the new Mass Effect game can attest, sometimes games need patching when they first launch. That's just the nature of the business. I hope we see the same thing happen with Marvel Lego and MvCI.

Marvel Legos and Marvel v Capcom. Marvel Legos have the X-Men pre-made from the first game and don't come up until the late Fall so more then enough time to add them with ease if they aren't already there.
