Default Gambit: King of Thieves Appreciation 2024

    Gambit, AKA Remy LeBeau

X-Man, King of Thieves, the Ragin' Cajun!

Whatever you know him by, welcome and Happy New Year! 2023 was a slow year for the Premier Mutant Thief (with a couple exceptions). Let's hope that 2024 has good things in store for him!

In the New Year, I am hopeful for:

    * A fun story from Steve Foxe on the XMen97 book!
    * The new cartoon on Disney+ where hopefully Gambit isn’t as cringe (oh, god - the 3rd person speak is coming, isn’t it)
    * Gambit with a fresh writer who loves him, and maybe with the new Management, a return to his charming, wreckless, devilish self.

    Bonne année, mes amis!

    Happy New Year, Gambit fans!

I can't wait to find out which writer/s will be writing Remy's adventures in 2024 and I'm also looking forward to seeing him return to prominence on X-Men 97.

Has Claremont said why he named X-Men Forever's Gambit Remy Picard?

    Happy New Year to everyone!
I hope 2024 will be a great year for Gambit!

    I am hopeful for:
    1. Great Tatum's Gambit cameo in DP3.

    2. Optimistic about new X-Men books. I hope Remy will be written by a good writter that likes him.

    3. I hope for the best but have really low expectations for XTAS.
It seems it will be just a Jean and Scott show with Jean's clone, Jean's son and Jean and Cyke's obsessed villain Sinister.
I will be shocked if we get a Gambit centric episode in it or his connecrions to Sinister will be used.

Probably won't happen but with Gambit in DP3 and XTAS97, I hope he will finally get a new solo ongoing by a writer like Donny Cates that can use all his old awesomness and add a fresh new take to move him forward.

Stay safe, everyone and be happy.

It was because of his dad being named Jean-Luc. I don't know much about Star Trek but I think a main character is named Jean-Luc Picard and is played by Patrick Stewart. I can't remember if Claremont ever confirmed it but it was a bit of a joke.

Happy 2024 to all the Gambits and Gambettes out there.

    Wishing the best for Remy.

Hoping the cameo is amazing. Hoping the assassins guild in the Echo show is not just a reference bait. And as for the comics I'm still pushing that Gambit would be a great addition to Midnight Sons, even if only part time, and would get along great with everyone on there.

Yup! One of the best out there! I wish Marvel would bring him back for more X-Books. His time on Legacy was great too
