I agree. I chalked it up originally to them not having all their tech stuff ready on the island but they obviously do now. Erik handed Psylocke a jet. Poor Kate.

Because the FF and X-Men are fully Disney's, and it's time to highlight them as much as possible.

I think this works perfectly: mutant nation wants to get all the powerful mutants, and Frankie's the most powerful mutant. I doubt there will be actual fighting between the teams for 'control' over Franklin beyond any Iceman/Human Torch fooling around [which I'd love to see]. As for Krakoa potentially helping Franklin with his failing powers, that's a great angle to end the mini on: mutants save Franklin's powers but he chooses to remain with the FF while treating Krakoa as an ally.
