Random observation. I assume the shadowy figures with Jean and Scott are likely place holders instead of pointing to specific characters (though the hairdo of the person on the far left might be someone specific), however i notice there seems to be one person somewhat hidden between Jean and Scott, which would mean we currently have a hint towards a 7 person team.

My man, Hickman's current book is already Uncanny. The Legacy numbering is on issue 1. They just dropped the adjective for now, but will put it back the closer we get to #700.

Also, this image is gorgeous. Really hyped after reading Destruction.

Also i wouldn't call it ugly, but it's somewhat generic looking in my opinion.

I didn't see the legacy numbering, thanks. We've missed #650. Hopefully we'll get a real #700 with and not just lip service.
Or maybe the title will be called Uncanny once Schism v2 happens.

Still doesn't look like the others to me. And yeah, why would they be some of the only characters on there to be in shadow?

Didn't consider that possiblity, though i somewhat doubt it as they don't particular look like they could be Arraki. What we can see of hairstyle and cloth seems much more modern than the high-fantasy/bad-ancient egyptian movie costuming we had seen with the arraki so far.

Also i have to admit i'm biased towards that idea since the writers currently have free reign to use almost ANY mutant from the past 50 years of publication, they even made a 4 part image to showcase just how many mutants they have their disposale, that it feels like a waste just to create a whole bunch of new characters again with hardly anything new to expect from them except being totaly disconnected from anything related to modern day earth and humanity (mutants included).

Having one or two characters from some hidden/ancient/alien civilization join a team is a good setup, because they can bounce off the members with a normal backround, but having an entire team made of them while the line allready had plenty of such characters before feels like wasted resources.

Of course sooner or later they would need to adress the millions of Arraki mutants thing, but again i feel like they allready have so much on their plate that having to introduce new central characters from their stock means bloating the character numbers even more than they allready are thanks to the the current era having almost everyone on the same side in terms of mutants.

So while i consider it possible they could be Arraki, i both doubt it by what i can see and hope not because of my personal bias.

Judging by Scott and Jean in the foreground and also excluding SWORD i think it might be a team they assemble from established X-men members as sort of an emergency group that can act outside the council's knowledge.
