Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Land.
Always horrendous.
But i Love the focus on Rogue and Cap
I need to hear more about G.O.D.S. So far I’m kind of mildly intrigued. Mainly just because it’s Hickman.
“Not as good as I once was… but I’m as good, once, as I ever was.”
He did progress before then, or rather regressed. In the 90s he was actually a halfway decent artist before he started tracing everything.
This was what Greg Land's art looked like in 1997. When colored in it looked much more cartoonish and stylized than his usual Marvel work.

I remember similar work of his from that period being being posted being posted here over the years, I just don't understand why he regressed so much. Even between Pheonix Endsong (imo his best work), to UXM in 2009, he became a lot worse.
I remember someone from Marvel mentioning he was very quick with his work!
How does Land still get regular cover work?? He's actually still continually getting worse!
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”
I still enjoy Greg Land's art to this day although I can understand why he's often criticised. However mid-90s to early naughties Greg Land was a fabulous artist. Before he became enamored with Photoshop he used to crank out excellent pages on Birds of Prey and Nightwing over at DC, reaching full maturity on Crossgen's Sojourn. Then he moved over to Marvel and all the "photorealistic" tendencies he had began to experiment with on Sojourn became the main course with Phoenix: Endsong.
Ah, Silver Banshee! I can't help but love Irish characters, being Irish myself.
*sigh* Still no hint that the rumor of a revived, Avengers' era Beast being in the Uncanny Avengers is true. I've seen nothing about Beast in the X-Books later this year except that he's exiting X-Force this July.
placeholder signature until I can think of something.
