First Appearance - Uncanny X-Men #282. Arriving some 80 years from the future hunting for fugitives, Bishop is a time lost mutant who meet his childhood heroes, the X-Men. After initially not believing who they were, Bishop eventually joins the X-Men.

Abilities - Mutant Ability -Energy Absorption. Bishop is able to absorb energy and channel it into energy blasts. Bishop absorbs energy at all times. This allows him enhanced strength, healing and limited invulnerability.

Fighting Skills - Bishop is an excellent H2H fighter. In his youth he was trained by Scott Summers and is excellent in armed and unarmed combat. Bishop carries a special gun that he can channel his powers through to shoot energy blasts although he can do this without the gun.

Other Skills -Bishop is a highly trained detective with above average intelligence. Bishop also has a sense of knowing what time/timeline he's in.

Yeah, I'm interested in what his status quo will be after the Fall of X/Rise of X series. What team will he be on next.

Now that they've taken care of the CHildren of the Vault, I hope that Bishop and Cable can work together to take down Orchis.

Yeah, he would have to appear in a book on a regular basis for a sustained amount of time before he could ever get a love interest.

They need to work on that first.

No word yet on where Bishop will end up after the end of the Krakoa era. With a new Cable title launching Marvel would have been smart to do a Bishop/Cable title dealing with threats from the future and possibly revisit a few alternate timelines.

I’m thinking Bishop is going to get some shine in the new era, as he’s on the roster of the X-men team in the Animated series revival. Not as sure about Cable after this upcoming mini. My guess is he will be relegated to more of a guest-star role.

With Marvel going all in on everything 90's? Fat chance, I'm expecting Cable, along with Bishop, Gambit, Jubilee, etc. to be front and centre in the new era.
