EDIT -- I will say, I know I'm going to be disappointed here, but part of me sees adult OG Cable holding his psimitar under his left arm (pointed down) with Kid Cable crouched under it, likely holding a pistol, as the two figures up front. I know, I know, dammit! That's not who that is... but it could be. Right? Duggan does like Cable. And he's the one who brought the Kid version back for some reason too. Maybe they actually appear in his book?

The Talon hate is so forced, all things considered she stays out of the way. Plus, I cannot help thinking that if it were not for her relationship with Synch many of her detractors would have no problem with her at all, because it isn't the writing she's been written worse, much worse.

But they were always "ninja slashes". Bachalo was the first to change their design and had them running down her neck for some reason. The redesign was also very close to Loa's looks.

Plus, not matching the general and allready firmly established image of the character, which means she is very likely allready fated to disappear again sooner rather than later, giving little reason to actualy become invested in her or see pannel time spend on her as being used well.

Overall the version is arguably just creating an unnecessary mess for a character who rather needs care and stability by writers who have a clue what to do with her, rather than just defaulting to "female 20 something Wolverine".

Wellll... the original Hound marks were basically a full disfigurement, these tiny red ones are drawn as if they were some sort of beauty/aesthetic markings. Like going from dehumanised slave to Naruto.

Overall the version is arguably just creating an unnecessary mess for a character who rather needs care and stability by writers who have a clue what to do with her, rather than just defaulting to "female 20 something Wolverine".

Except they are the original, and even if they do an imposter reveal; Laura did live through hundreds of years in the vault, so regardless of the metaphysics of the situation, stripped of that, the other one couldn't be considered to be the "real" one either.

Getting rid of Talon in favor of the other one, is engaging with the fallacy that just because someone is functionally identical, then they're fungible; which I suppose is the core failing of this entire era, but given the way they've been desperately terrified of engaging with the idea, I live in hope that they're not going keep making the same mistakes, over, and over, and over again.
