I know Stegman has his style but...It would be nice if his Kwannon looked more distinctly Asian. The art looks really good though with a lot of textural detailing that reminds me on Moebius.

Agreed. I know they have a lot of similarities, but people should be able to identity who is Kwannon and who is Betsy...

That's nice, but lots of people were confused and asking who it was before the name was revealed which speaks for itself. Heck, even after she was revealed to be "Psylocke".

It indeed absurd how not-Asian Kwannon looks. There many angry when artists white wash Monet or Sunspot, isn't this just as bad? I think so.

I dont think so. Facial features are more subjective and an artist not getting it "right"s is more of a flaw on them and their own artistic style. Coloring is alot more egregious and intentional when one messes that up. That passes through editors and its an easy fix that doesnt require redrawing anything. Like i dont see those pages getting submitted and returned to the artist bc the editor doesnt feel the character looks "Asian enough"
