Agreed. He should be scary, lethal and for sure possessing some sort of motivation beyond just having a hate boner for Logan. I always liked Claremont’s old take that we haven’t actually seen the real Creed since Wolverine #10 in 1989, which was a flashback issue where he whipped Logan on his birthday. All the ones we’ve seen, including in the Mutant Massacre, were Sinister clones. The real deal is still out there, he’s still a scary mofo and he actually doesn’t even give that much of a $#!t about Logan. That would’ve been a cool story if it had happened. Can’t remember where I read that, it was a long time ago. But it was something Claremont wanted to do at one point.
Regardless, if Lavalle is going to make Creed interesting he has to delve into his motivations and give us something besides he’s just evil for evil’s sake and hates Wolverine with a passion. That take is stale. 100% agreed.
I'd also point out, and this is a problem with most classic villans, they lost to much. There's a point where having there ass kicked the same way for years its hard to imagine why there still viewed as a threat. I'd love to see Logan just be board of Creed do to all the times he beat bim. And see how he deals with that, for example going down the wolverine family tree getting ignored untill he revised he's literally that backing his entire existence on annoying logan is probably a bad thing.
What makes you say that? It doesn’t even have claws.
Tom Muller just said there won't be a design variant for Sabretooth.

So I ordered Racvencroft: Sabretooth's variant once I saw it gracefully.
Glad the book itself is readable.

That could be pretty interesting if that’s the case. I’ve seen lots of speculation along those lines, that Creed was actually doing dirty work for Moira/Professor X/Magneto. Maybe taking out precogs or killing promising AI (and everyone involved in the creation of such) before it can come online. Stuff like that.
