But it looks like a classic murder mystery where everybody has a motive. My guess: Maybe it was just a random mutant child that was influenced by Exodus's speeches and kills Wanda. She is too flabbergasted by being attacked by a child that she is not defending herself.

I had to imagine them questioning Marrow over it and her going: "I threw a knife in her back (Secret Invasion one-shot). That settled the score for me. Now if Quicksilver had been at the party..."

it feels like the obvious answer but i feel like its less about who actually killed her and more the fallout of her death. inferno is actually mystiques story and this is her way of getting eric distracted or off the board so that she has one less problem. with the monthly release schedule this would end in december same as inferno so they would line up.

I doubt that's a precedent the council wants to set. As awful as he is they do currently need Sinister for all the DNA shit. They don't need Wanda aside from technically being an Omega short thanks to Franklin, but even then they could just do this to Franklin instead

I'd imagine that the most that would be needed would be a trip through the resurrection protocols - this presumes that she IS a mutant but a manifestation of her chaos magic (is that still a thing or was that reconned too?) changed that, but in a kind of broken fashion.
