GSXM1 was Len Wein's only issue, and Jim Lee and Chris Claremont were both gone from Marvel within a few months of X-Men#1, so those aren't exactly the best comparisons. I think Hickman has a complete story in mind already, he will tell it in its entirety over a 3 year period or so, and then he will leave, having reset the whole think by killing Moira.

Well those are the comparisons Marvel made and they did indeed kickstart new eras for the books.

oh I bet. probably worse considering they're basically bound to the thing that killed them for the forseeable future...I hope we see these kinds of things explored. I mean I doubt Hickman's gonna leave the synch threads dangling

Probably, and I don't want to belittle them, the idea was "We need to resurrect Gabriel because he is omega" and they are both emotional support for him, just like Skin is emotional support for Synch.
