… I wonder if Wolverine is actually guest-starring or this is just a variant cover that I shouldn’t read too much into?

It’s an homage to an Adam Kubert cover in his original Wolverine run. I mean it was the fist time Wolverine and Deadpool met so it might mean more.

Wolverine #88. Came out in fall of 1994. Surely that wasn’t the first meeting between Wade and Logan… was it!?

First time on panel at least. Deadpool had only been around in the books for about 3 years by this point and he wasnt everywhere

Not that it was because of Wolverine but I do think the exposure he got in this issue led to his rise of prominence and popularity. I can remember laughing and digging into who Deadpool was after reading this.

I remember thinking what a tool Garrison Kane was. “This loser is supposed to be the next Weapon X!?” Feels like Deadpool and Wolverine both should’ve made more fun of him. Maybe in the movie… ha.
