A ripped shirt offers no information to say he's dying. It only means that he's been in a fray.
I was afraid he was gonna die at first but now not so much. That panel is from issue #2 so the "act of violence" that impacts Shatterstar on the solicit for the first issue it's not him dying.

Marvel.com: Did you and the other creators on X-MEN: BLACK coordinate the storylines in any way?
Seanan McGuire: We did not! We just got our villains and swung for the fences. The Apocalypse backup story should tie things together nicely...
Emma is the opposite of a devourer
She's A Lifebringer
Why would they need to coordinate? Each person got a different villain.
That's the impression I got. When they say "backup story" those are always disconnected. So the writers were allowed to do what they wanted, but then there IS a different connected story running in the back. You don't need to read each black issue to understand the other one, but if you want to understand the Apoc one you need to buy them all...which is a marketing stunt instead of just making another Xmenblack: Apoc one shot.
W.I.P. from Rahzzah. Most likely part of the cover for Weapon X #26 since it wasn't shown with solicits last month.
