What's left anything for him? He is not "Apocalypse" anymore, like Thanos or Darkseid IMO. His origin was a total wastage and it's like asking Hickman to do exactly what he did with Thanos.

What did Hickman do to Thanos? The Black Order? Thane? The details of New Avengers have faded.

He became Thanosi again(his undying love for death etc) and Hicks ignored Thanos's character development that wasn't influenced by his origin. Although it was Aaron who retconned his origin. It's not "exact" as in terms what Hickman did to Thanos or Apocalypse but it just that he ruined both of them.

Hmm, I must have missed those stories. Honestly I do prefer original, Death-courting Thanos to whatever bs depopulationist the MCU tried to make him. As for Apocalypse, I essentially enjoyed Hickman's use of him. His family were woefully paper thin in terms of characterization, so that still needs some work, but Hickman's Poccy is the second best in my opinion(TAS still reigns supreme). Comics Poccy has never really landed correctly, especially the last few stories before Hickman.

I don't. Apoc's new era personality doesn't deserve to be named Apocalypse anymore. He is another Magneto or Thanos for me I guess. MCU Thanos(although I wasn't a fan of that version) is not a character who is mad about gaining death's love. But it's like the same thing happened to Apocalypse for his love with Okhara. It actually creeps me out now that I think about it. They used to have different motivations.

I am mad Hickman is avoiding the Celestials, in terms of their influence on Poccy in particular, and mutants in general. Human mutants are not purely natural; the X-gene was engineered and inserted into protohumans by the technologically advanced space gods, and that was always central to Poccy's motivation.

I like the new Apocalypse better than I ever did. And I don't think it contradicts any previous story, it just adds another layer of depth to the character.

Before he was too much "Generic evil big guy".

Layer of depth? I found him as a wannabe of Mags and Thanosi. It only just contradicts how the character is defined. His motivation and character was defined by "survival of the fittest", which made him believe mutant species are superior than anyone. His personality and mythos are unique. You can sense his superiority when he speaks amongst people.
And NOW he is just another good guys. I had no problem him alliancing with the X-Men before but XoS was simply unacceptable.

Unlike Thanos or Darkseid, who had different motivations. Darkseid wanted to get Anti-Life Equation. Thanos's motivation was destroying half the universe(omitting the whole death-courting love thing)

Agree, this trend of turning villains into he was just misunderstood is terrible for comics.
