I read the statement wrong they were drinking tea while ww1 was announced, kieron just mentioned that they have 150 years worth of story to tell with them because of how long a lot of these characters have lived

Great interview! Love having Kieron Gillen spearheading this next phase of X-Books. I once met him at New York Comic Con. He's a really smart guy and very personable. He's also a fan himself. He loves these characters and he loves thinking big. I think he's perfect for a book like Immortal X-Men. I also hope this book digs a little deeper into Mystique and Irene's history. We've never actually gotten the full story about Mystique's origins. We know she's old, almost as much as Wolverine. But we don't know much about where she and Destiny came from. I hope this book fleshes that out because that's a story Marvel has yet to tell.

I'm not overly familiar with Gillen's X-Men but I do love his idea to explore the different personalities and machinations of the QC more deeply. One could argue that we should have gotten this book at the start of Dawn of X but...given how Inferno ended, this seems like the perfect time and place for such a book, going forward.

Beautiful art. Irene and Raven look divine... but are kaiju becoming the next 'plant monster': constantly attacking Krakoa? X-Force had their plant monster fetish, now the nw X-Men volume and Trial of Magneto gave us kaiju followed by this.

May be 4, Kate, Storm, Piotr and Nightcrawler. We’ll definitely get some focus on them in the book but from the sounds of the interview it wont be anything super major
