I have to agree. Of her outfits which weren't the yellow and black training suit, this had been the most memorable in my opinion.

Definetly a look worth reinventing.

The Astonishing look was OK but it was just another student uniform variation like she usually does.
The pirate look and attitude weren't good to begin with, so... It's like every reinvention Kitty's gone through post-Astonishing Space Bullet has been questionable.

I dunno why people think Kitty's pirate look is so egregious.

If anything, unlike most X-outfits, which all feel like they're pinning for a particular art style of a long gone era. It's one of the few that'll just be "Oh that outfit."

It's a jacket and a dress shirt, it's kinda timeless

I don't think it would look bad say if she shows up in Avengers or FF wearing it. Maybe if she wore an eye patch and had a parrot on her shoulder... Otherwise it's just a cool red jacket.

It would make total sense during the Marauders era, but once that story is fully done is when I don't think her costume will make sense.
