Yeah, I don't understand why Marvel insists on pushing him so hard. I actually agree that it is probably largely because He was created by Morrison, even though he barely resembles the Morrison version now(who was not just terrible like the current version, but disgustingly awful). He is definitely disliked by a lot of people though. He was the first character voted out of the B and C-list Elimination contest on the X-Men Reddit-

Truth is, online X-Men forum goers aren't a broad representation of the buyers. The forums all think no one buys Wolverine comics lol. Not that Quire is a big seller, but I think he has more recognized iconography, more branding, than pretty much any other "young" character besides X-23 (who is still running around as Wolverine Girl, for whatever dumb reason).

Ok I don't TOTALLY dislike this outfit with this art and the whole knights theme they all have I'm starting to accepting it.

Its less all of a sudden and more there on the page if you know what to look for.

Right? So cute. Now if these panels were of a man and a woman, I feel more readers would easily identify what the writer is attempting to achieve, but unfortunately when it comes to establishing same sex relationships, a writer is more often than not bound by the laws of "subtext" and thereby forced to be less overt, like the building of Shatter and Rictor for example. These moments often go overlooked by non-queer readers as "buddies" or "gal pals" but for those who have lived these moments, they're very clear.
