Cool cover. I’d love some proof of life for Cable after his apparent death in A.X.E. Judgment Day #1 next week, though. He hasn’t appeared on a cover since then, so I have a bad feeling here.

Though Ewing did say XMR #8 would be “a good one for Cable fans” or something like that. So hopefully he’s at least back by then and it’s not a memorial service or some b.s. like that… a year after he finally came back too. F’ing Marvel.

I wonder if Isca turned or didn't get involved during battle. And yeah, this is setting the stage for Genesis and Apocalypse's return down the line. On another note, I love the way Dauterman draws Isca's locs.

I hope Dauterman does an event book some soon or an arc with all the X-Men appearing in a battle scene.

That would be awesome and is definitely my hope. Never made sense to me why he’d want to come back with the T-O virus. I know they gave an in-story reason, but it felt a little weak. Hopefully there’s some payoff to that (both him wanting to keep and study the virus as well as Brand wanting to study it for her own reasons), but if he were to come back via some backdoor resurrection path that he and Hope orchestrated completely T-O free and kicks some Eternals ass that would make my year!
