This will never happen. The teenage O5 represents a combination of teenage heroes and nostaglic fan favorites rolled into one. I don't see Marvel sending them away anytime in the near future. Even if they brought back Cyclops and Adult Jean Grey, teenage Jean Grey will remain.

An Adult Jean and Emma (with her current standing) would be a great rivalry. Sadly there will NEVER be a world without a Cyclops or a Wolverine/OML in the X-Men. #fact

Except it wouldn't matter because Marvel wouldn't know what to do with her anyway. I mean, they have a whole book dedicated to teen Jean and what is the story they have to tell? Hmm, let's go with a team up of the week phoenix story. It'll be no different for adult Jean.

I'm guessing those panels are missing info to explain whats really happening guys dont just jump so quick to a conclusion

Cyclops does start to look more like a villain though he seems kinda mean somehow in those panels

Could be this be an hint that the fake O5 they saw when they returned to theri timeline are actually illusions created by Xavier to keep up appearances?
They seem to fade out/disappear when he uses his power

We see "classic" and we think "old".
We see "now Jeen" and we think "young".
