This one's stirring up controversy on the X-23 thread already. Paniccia isn't saying what book it's from.
The only plausible explanation I could think of without some sort of twist involved is that Magneto was only focusing on her hands and simply wasn't paying attention to her feet. So it COULD happen, but would take a MASSIVE case of the Idiot Ball on Mags' part for her to have the opportunity.
Really need more context for what's happening.

The fact that she's striking to kill (her claw is going in his chin and out the top of his helmet) would support that, unless it's one of the "no other option" exceptions to her no-kill policy.

I’m just saying that Marvel/one of their editors is not going to unceremoniously reveal a page where Laura kills Magneto, one of the biggest X-characters, on Twitter like that. So it’s definitely not the real Magneto. It’s an illusion or Danger Room sequence or something like that.

Initially, I thought that since Kelly Thompson retweeted it -- that its from Hawkeye #12 where she and Kate team up? But I'm fairly certain that 1) the art would be complete by now and 2) its a different artist assigned to that specific issue. <shrug>

I saw both of these. I suspect the first is from Cross Time Capers. I think that arc is going to have Cullen Bunn go for broke on the O5 time travel gimmicks. It may end up complicating or clarifying the whole situation with the O5 in the future, but we already know they're sticking around after Phoenix Resurrection. So I guess there's going to be some sort of resolution. It's just a matter of what form it takes.

I think the second one comes out of Orphans of X. That story seems to be playing with clone plot-lines. It almost reminds me of the moment when Magneto ripped the adamantium out of Wolverine's body. Could Laura undergo something similar? That would be brutal, but somewhat fitting in the sense that she endures the same struggles as her father.
