That cover is gorgeous. I doubt a variant would spoil something like that, but it'd be interesting if that was happening to Polaris. I also thought it might be the fairy girl as well, but I suspect it's meant to be Lorna.

I dont think they will let Polaris be one of the sword wielders of Krakoa, as only X-Factor issue 4 ties in and that is a road to X of Swords issue, not part of the main event.
But I would love to be wriong. BTW: The Hellions also do not seem to hae a sword wielder. So there goes the theory that each book will have at least one cast member being one of the 10."COURAGE, DON'T YOU DARE LET ME DOWN"

Hopefully that cover means that while she might not wield a sword, that she will be the main character in XFACTOR during that storyline. I do think the future for Polaris is bright though. She's very unique and stands for a grittier version of female empowerment based on recent media featuring her.

I’m not holding my breath for Nature Girl to appear in the books, it’s always possible because her and Trevor are close.....as close as Lin can be to any human so far. But I believe you can’t take anything from variant covers!
