Yeah all these descriptions are about what happened in House of X like loke13 said. Jean entering the island with the kids was a scene from the first issue.
Reminds me that its been a long time since I have read HoX/PoX related stuff with Hickman. Then we got XoS and Sh'ir which were bad. I hope it's worth it.
I assume that's what the scene at the beginning of House of X was supposed to represent/tell, but given the book starts out of nowhere with no previous build up and retconning things into existence it's not a suprise if many us didn't understood the scene with that kind of gravity.
Pepe does it again. They look amazing! One thing though: I don't know why Pepe draws Jean's hair like that. It's like an explosion of extensions and its not how he usually depicts it. Also, Jean's description was clearly referencing the opening scene of House of X. When she takes that child through the gate.
Enough about Moira. Not the thread for this discussion.
HEROES REBORN: MAGNETO & THE MUTANT FORCE #1
STEVE ORLANDO (W) • BERNARD CHANG (A) • COVER BY NICK BRADSHAW
RELEASE DATE: May 2021
CAN MAGNETO RESURRECT HOPE FOR MUTANTKIND BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE?
Years ago, Magneto and Professor X led Earth’s mutants in a final push for independence against the Squadron Supreme of America. What followed was the Squadron’s Mutant Massacre, a violent rebuttal that left Mutantkind forever wounded, and Xavier dead…or so Magneto thought. Years later, Magneto discovers Xavier clinging to life in the astral plane and gathers his allies for a first-of-its-kind rescue mission. Too bad the same mission puts the Mutant Force back on the Squadron’s radar! Failure means the last gasp of Mutant-kind, but success means the fist breaths of something even more elusive to the mutants of Heroes Reborn: HOPE.
They haven't even gotten anyone from the X-Office to want to write Heroes Reborn, lmao.
