IKR!
His appearance suggests that serious shyt is about to go down. Although, this is HiX-Man...so I expect to be left wanting (in a good way) with more questions than answers at the end of the issue.
I would say it's Nimrod the Lesser pre Orchis upgrade...aka Nimrod the Meh!

Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
Nimrod being in current time feels like one of the biggest deals within the story. Whatever happens to it, is a statement within the plot of what the future for the X-Men should be (setting aside whatever you may think about status quo, illusion of change and whatever snide comment comes to mind). If he can't be beaten in any iteration of the universe, then there's no actual hope and world's like Days of Future Past will always haunt the characters. I'm eager to see if Hickman will actually deliver on bringing it to life or if it's a fake out.
Yupp.
I can't believe one image has me so excited and speculative but have no idea just how this issue will play out.
Can't wait for May to come...the month of May, that is, notpeterparker'saunt.

LOL, Nirod the Meh; I love it
Yeah I feel like Nimrod is the beginning of Hickman's endgame because he is the lynchpin for the future humans, the mutant preserve, the Librarian, and Phallanx
I have never been so excited about a monthly book since Morrison's Batman run.
There are still so many more layers to Hickman's Bloomin' Onion!

Cable's last solo before he got killed in Extermination and replaced by Kid Cable. It was the Past Fears arc by Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson.
XFactor issue 9!
