the art style is way too barbie doll...I guess it is fine because they are giving us some fashion magazine cover cliché images.
But it just reminds me how important it would be to show different body types in our comicbooks. Is it really so complicated to have some differently shaped X-Men/women in our books?
No doubt some of these spotlight covers for the x-ladies are great but how about a few for the guys. I'm sure a spotlight solo cover highlighting Colossus, Synch or Sunfire would be appreciated and look good as hell.
Like really, this is what we're giving STORM, a misshapen spine and a seated position that does nothing to accentuate her figure or incredible costume. With Magik's design a seated position somehow worked perfectly with Storm she needed a stance or posture that highlights the only living Goddess on Krakoa, Selene notwithstanding!
THIS IS THE WAY!
• What happens when the third law of Krakoa is broken?
• What happens when all other solutions have failed?
• What happens when Nightcrawler finally finds the Way?

Not the best oufit for flying. Nice cover. After the Armor one and this one, i wonder which females who play side roles at the gala will also get these kinds of covers?
Btw. Isn't it weird that Armor gets a alt-cover but wasn't in the guide?
They were trying to emulate fashion mags but they really look more like manga covers that cater to a certain demographic lol.
As for body types, I wouldn't hold my breath on any diversity in the comics medium. I am seeing it more in animated stuff though.
Yeah the Storm cover turned her majestic costume with its active lightning storm cloud cape into a plain black leotard.
