Movies about hitmen

I know it is a dumb movie but I have always like The Big Hit. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christina Applegate, and many others and is just a fun movie about a hitman. Wahlberg was just a kid in this one.

I'd say Miller's Crossing works, and it's one of my favorite films.

The main character in Miller's Crossing is not a hitman though (and I too love Miller's Crossing, absolutely outstanding film); I kind of get what you mean, but I think it's stretching it to call it a hitman movie. I mean, you could call the original The Manchurian Candidate a hitman film, but I don't think it's the kind of film the op was getting at (though again, outstanding film).

Leon and Le Femme Nikita are great movies about assassins.

You should see Coldblooded. It makes this film look like The Monster Squad.
