Uncanny Avengers #24 (Preview + Jim Zub's First Issue!!!)

Not only does Jacinto's art look so amazing that I can compare it to Francis Yu, but looks like Quicksilver is still being counted as an Uncanny Avengers. Which is good because it would have made no sense to have him up and quit when he was in Duggan's last issue. I wonder if we'll get Pietro's POV of Deadpool abandoning the group and joining Rogers' Hydra-vengers. I also wonder if we'll get some Wonder Man in this two-issue arc. Either way, I trust Jim Zub to write the hell out of this title!

Nice that Pietro is still on it, I wonder why he's not on the cover or this group scene though. Still wish Cable and/or Deadpool wouldn't leave, so this would feel more like a lowkey X-Book as it should...

Because Secret Empire Underground. He isn't trapped in the Darkforce dome. That means he's still on the team, but won't be with them for the next two issues.

Jacinto's art looks like a cross between Cheung and Yu. I'm normally meh to both styles but the blending here works very well. Doctor Voodoo and his energy signature look especially awesome. Zub seems to have written some good books. I may continue to trade wait UA after all.

The all caps are necessary! The art is wonderful! Good on the editors for helping soften the blow of losing Duggan and Larraz.

Art is great but it is a little sad that preview didn't give us any new information.

We know that they are trapped but nothing more.

There on that couch Crystal's old boyfriend has his arm around her ex-husband as they mug for the group shot. It never even occurred to me that they were on the same team, with that sort of awkward connection between them. Oh, how wild is our Marvel universe!

She wasn't dead. She is in this book for some time. Uncanny Avengers 9+.

She was brought back at the end of Bendis's Avengers run - in 2012 - having been killed off during Secret Invasion three years prior. It turned out she was stuck in the Microverse, not dead. After AVX, she joined the Uncanny Avengers. She left during the Secret Wars timeskip, but returned in #9 of the current volume like Xelossik said.
