Adam West was, and is still, my favorite Batman by a large margin.
Rest in peace Mr. West.
Thank you Adam West for bringing the Batman to life during my childhood.
May you rest in peace.
"History of the DC Universe" by Wolfman and Perez, when the DCU use to make sense.
Yeah, this really made me sad. Some of my earliest memories are sitting at my grandparents house, watching Batman on their tv. My mom even made me a little cape and cowl to wear.
Adam West and Batman are why the character was my favorite for so many years. I've got all the DVDs now and have been watching the show with my kids, so they'll be able to enjoy and remember this version of Batman.
RIP, Mr. West. You'll be missed.

“How many actors have a shot at being a part of something that became a part of pop culture? It’s been very rewarding. I’m not getting the 20 million bucks for the new movies, but at least I’m getting warmth and recognition from people wherever I go.”

I would like to ad my own RIP to Adam West, and say thank you for all the years of entertainment he gave.
R.I.P. Mr. West.
Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends.
RIP Bright Knight
So I've read The Killing Joke and The Dark Knight, Batman RIP etc and I continue to read Detective Comics, but it was the TV Show that got me into it all. Though the show was played for laughs, Batman and Robin were deadly serious (and not quite the miserable jerk he often is now).
And there is only one Batmobile.
RIP Mr West and thanks to the rest of the team.
Adam West be missed. I grew up on repeats of the Batman TV show and movie. Legend. R.I.P.
