Very sad to hear. Whatever your opinion of the 60s TV series, it's undeniable that Batman wouldn't be as popular as he is today without it.

Thank you, Mr. West, for bringing the character to millions who otherwise would have never heard of him.

Adam was my first Batman. When I was a boy they used to play reruns of Batman on one of the local TV stations everyday after school at 5 PM. That started my life long obsession with Batman. He was great as the Gray Ghost on BTAS and was awesome on Family Guy. Loved Return of the Caped Crusaders and I hope he was able to finish work on Batman vs. Two-Face, looking forward to one more adventure with my old chum.

To this day, I still want that Batmobile! Saw the show back when the first movie came out. I was about ten or eleven. That was the Batman I wanted to be as a kid! Thank you, Mayor West!

A hero from mine growing up.It is ironic today that I put my Batman 66 t-shirt on and then read about his death later. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I wander if he finished voicing the sequel to animated Batman movie that has Wiliam Shatner as Two-Face?It would be a great tribute to his work as Batman. I really hope so.

Honestly I don't think I've ever seen a clip of him, either as batman or as Mayor West that didn't make me want to smile. A true comedic talent.
    RIP chum.

And are Burt Ward and Julie Newmar the only ones still alive now?
Unless you want to count John Astin who played Riddler for two episodes.

Lee Meriwether is still with us. She played Catwoman in the 1966 movie.

My mom grew up on his portrayal of Batman and I got to see his show a few times over my life. I remember the Grey Ghost and how iconic that episode is it's sad he's gone but he will be remembered. I loved him on Family Guy really funny.
