1: Going with the originals. More powers, more tricks and more experience. The 2017 versions might have more strength but the OG Rangers have them in durability.

2: A cool fight but I once again have to go with the OG Megazord simply because it has more fights under its belt.

Canonically too, the OGs simply have a bigger arsenal. The 2017 Rangers have Jason's sword, and that's it. Sure, it's possible they have analogues to the OG weapons, but they haven't shown up at all.

I'd have to concur with both of these points. OG Megazord could do so much more, and take a pretty decent amount of damage. But it also had beam weapons, shields, projectiles.

Also, it was surprising -- and pretty disappointing -- that the movie Megazord was smaller than the OG counterpart. I feel like Sentai mechs are sometimes too small for what they need to do, and was hoping that the success of Pacific Rim would inspire larger scale robots. Rather, the 2017 MMPR movie went backwards there.

My bad, but then you could consider that the OG Rangers tended to use more grappling techniques (particularly Trini, who probably did it more in a single episode than the 2017 Rangers combined), and three of the Rangers (Jason, Zack, and Trini) were considered exceptionally talented even when surrounded by other martial artists.
