Default Superman issue #29 preview/spoiler discussion

    https://www.dccomics.com/blog/2021/0...es-their-debut

This is using the DC website reader, so I can't post the pictures here. Just click the link to read the preview.

"“The Golden Age” features both Kal-El and his son, Jonathan Kent, in a story that looks at the legacy of one of the world’s greatest heroes and asks a difficult question—as Superman ages, could we lose him once again? Facing an otherworldly threat powerful enough to truly hurt, or even kill, the Man of Steel, Jon must sort through his feelings towards Superman, both as a beloved and needed superhero and as his dad as they face a battle that will change both of their lives forever."
"Mark my words! This drill will open a hole in the universe. And that hole will become a path for those that follow after us. The dreams of those who have fallen. The hopes of those who will follow. Those two sets of dreams weave together into a double helix, drilling a path towards tomorrow. THAT's Tengen Toppa! THAT'S Gurren Lagann! MY DRILL IS THE DRILL THAT CREATES THE HEAVENS!" - The Digger

We walk on the path to Secher Nbiw. Though hard fought, we walk the Golden Path.

You know I joked about Jon still being the main character of the superman book at least back when the supersons book was cancelled. It doesn't seem so funny anymore.

Props to PKJ. He perfectly conveys the ideas and emotions he's said he's aiming for in his interviews.

But yeah, that's the return of Rebirth's "Jon Kent is the actual protagonist, BTW".

I mean I’m okay with Jon in one book and Clark leading the other. Honestly all that matters to me that I like seeing in this preview is father and son fighting crime and saving the world together once more.
"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
    Words to live by.
