“Now faith, hope, and love remain, and the greatest of these is love.”--1 Corinthians 13:13
“You had a dream; I have a plan”--Cyclops
“There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes.”--The Doctor
Given the mishmash nature of the game's sandbox function, where Rey and other characters from the franchise can fight together regardless of chronological origins, I seriously doubt the that the "clue" is anything more than just an Easter egg or a rendering shortcut.
Besides, while Star Wars projects have offered clues to future installments (like how Rey's Survival Guide foreshadowed the Aftermath trilogy), I doubt that the video game developers would be let in on the secret of the movie so early in advance.
Meh, we will know soon enough anyway. Not sure i understand why people are so obsessed about that.
I don't buy into the Obi-Wan's grand-daughter theory one bit personally.
You can also give her Yoda's saber in the game ... does that make her Yoda's daughter?
"Always listen to the crazy scientist with a weird van or armful of blueprints and diagrams." -- Vibranium
From what I understood, the cross-era gameplay was for the EA Play event. There will likely be modes where this is a thing but in the base game there is going to normally be a separation in eras. That being said there will be some weapons that can be used in the Clone Wars and during the First Order eras like the heavy blaster.
As to the thread, it's listed as Rey's lightsaber so chances are she ends up making one in TLJ.
Edit: Realized I was looking at the wrong picture but point still stands that she probably does. It bears a small resemblance to one of three lightsabers Obi-Wan owned but given who teaches her, the only other lightsabers she has seen and chances are good it will look similar.

For anyone that needs to know why OMD is awful please search the internet for Linkara' s video's specifically his One more day review or his One more day Analysis.
The Force Awakens already "leaked" who Rey's father is, they did it so well and honestly a child could get it.Has leaked footage from SW Battlefront II revealed Rey’s parentage?
The whole story plainly built up to it, from the wonderful the Force is strong in my family promos, the narrative build up, clues and learning throughout the movie, to the fantastic powerful ending which beautifully drove it home.
They did everything but say the words out loud, which the movie didn't need.
So of course because of that, adults, fans and the internet in their quest to be eternally miserable and unsatisfied, have decided - well they didn't spell it out enough so that's unsatisfying and disappointing!
Or the opposite - No it's too obvious they spelled it out to much so that's unsatisfying and disappointing!
Either way they get to be eternally miserable and unsatisfied!
Dedicating themselves to come up with an endless barrage of lame theories (they've convinced themselves are visionary) all to justify their misery and dissatisfaction with a wonderfully climactic and satisfying ending they can never enjoy.
That is the story people, the entire internet need to stop deluding themselves.

Umm, let's just say that I've seen most of the relevant material and I find the theory problematic.
